MythBusters Apologize for Cannonball Experiment Gone Wrong

On Tuesday, a cannonball was launched during the filming of the show, but it missed its intended target and landed in a neighborhood.

The cannonball shot through the door of a home, damaging the inside and exiting through the back, only to land in a minivan.

MythBuster hosts Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman visited the damaged home in Dublin to apologize to the homeowners.

“This is the worst we can imagine happening,” said Adam Savage. “I have kids of my own, I have a house of my own. I can’t imagine how angry I would be to have this happen to it.”

The Alameda County Sheriff’s Department says the TV show has used the firing range close to 100 times before without any problems.

The stars of the show say they won’t be firing any cannonballs in the area again.

MythBusters Stunt Gone Wrong Damages Homes

DUBLIN, Calif. — A projectile launched from the Alameda County firing range at Camp Parks in Dublin during a taping for the show MythBusters damaged a home and a car Tuesday afternoon.

The incident occurred between 4:15 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. A witness told ABC7 that the MythBusters crew was using a cannon and fired what appeared to be a cannonball. The witness said the projectile went through a house and hit a car.

No one was injured.

Alameda County Sheriff’s spokesperson J.D. Nelson would not confirm what the projectile was.

Earlier Tuesday, the show’s official Twitter account retweeted a tweet by Grant Imahara, one of the hosts, saying they would be working with “heavy artillery.” Both tweets have since been deleted.

Huh, What!&@$*

So, being in the Philippines I have seen some interesting things. On thing I see what this picture at the entrance of a few banks and that the guards are very heavily arm with pistol grip shotguns or AR-15 with enough ammo to start private war. The picture there is kind of like what the security guards are like.

 

 

I have seen that the Philippine National Police are very armed also. I have only seen them carrying AR-15 and nothing more and about 300 or so round of .223 (5.56x45mm).

Waiting for Our Guide

We went to meeting on Sunday and was talking to one of the brothers there and he told us about English congregation we could go to.  Later that day we were going to meet him outside the Kingdom Hall, so he could take us there.  The ride to the place is about two hours from where we live at. When we got there, there was Japaneses congregation having meeting at that time, he thought the English congregation was there, but it was earlier in the morning. The brothers and sisters we talk to told when the English meet, we talked for while and one of the brother told us about place to rent that was near the Kingdom Hall. We checked it out and it was right next to the another Kingdom Hall. I was kind of a secure place and I use the kind of loosely. The brother that was with us got question by the guards at the gate about what he was doing there and me they saluted me as I walk-in and said hello to me. They did not ask me why I was there or nothing. It is interesting how I am treated different then the people that live here sometimes.

Something You Never Want To See In Grocery Store

It was raining for few days here and not much to do. We went to get something to eat and stop to get some drinks from this grocery store by were we eat at and I see big roaches all over the water pipe that was inside the store. I do not think they really care about them because it is normal part of life. If this was US that would never happen and if did the place would shutdown by the Health Department.

 

Natural Carbonated Soda

So, we were looking for coconuts and this person near the house was selling them. So, we tried to get some, but they were not there or sleeping. There was huge pile of them in front of the house. After, the third time trying to get the people were awake.

So, we tried one, he was using very sharp knife to chop off the outer shell of the coconut. When they get off the tree they are not small and round like you would buy in the use markets.

So, he cut small hole in it and put straw into it and we just drank from the freshly cut coconut. The taste of the juice was very unique. It was like a carbonated vineger soda.

After drinking all the coconut juice and eating the fresh coconut, I got a little sick to my stomch, so had to eat some peanut butter to make feel little better, it was feeling better until I went on multi-cab ride now it is all mixed up in my stomach.

Superferry Day 3

Day started about three forty-five in the morning! At that time there was still about nine hours left on the trip. It was cloudy when today was going talk photo of sunrise, but can not.

Taking my walk around the ship I notice the chickens I made joke about yesterday where gone. Julieta said they killed them and we ate them for breakfast, which was not to appealing to me, so I have to her and she didn’t eat all of it. Before we left this old lady ask for so I gave to her.

One of the people I took picture has this interesting marks on the back of her neck, it kind of looks like frog or butterfly burned into her skin. I think you would have never seen it, if her hair was not up, but it hard see anyway. I think she is an attractive lady.

         

As of writing this there is four half more hours and everyone is getting ready to get off the boat.

The crew is getting everything back from the passages like sheets and pillows.

There was this young lady named Lynn (I think) took and meet some guy the first day and last night she slept / had sex with him the last night we were on the boat. Only reason why I say that the were moving around to much at four in the morning to just be sleeping. Later that day it look like she know the person or it was her boyfriend, but I am not sure still.

 

There is a group of woman here that are being very noise. I have no idea why they are so loud, but you can hear the over everyone else in the area I am at.

One thing I have notice is, here in this country, when comes to jobs with any company they have skinny attractive women working at them. This company is no different all the female employees are good looking for the most part and have very thin bodies.

They boat was doing contest and Julieta thought they said they wanted e-ticket, but when I got up there, I ask what they wanted and it was “kikay kit” which is lipstick or compact makeup and the said maybe your wife or girlfriend or lover has one, so I had a lover and was her and kind of put on the spot and laugh about it. I didn’t say this, but I was going to tell her that I was handsome enough for her? I would like to see the reaction form that.

Superferry Day 2

Day two was ok. Not much going on. The ship stopped in Cebu, Philippines for about three hours. We where going to to the mall there, but was enough time because we had to be back on the ship two hours before we left. Interesting people on the boat. Later that night I was taking random pictures of people around me. There was group of people on left that wanted me take photo of them and after I took the photo thy offered me food to eat, they were nice people. I don’t know if they all knew each other. On walking around the ship I seen a live stock area with some chickens that was interesting. I was one of the crew if they had to buy a ticket, too, and that person said yes, but I think he had no idea what I said and just said yes to me.

Walking around the ship I have seen that most of the ship is empty.

Julieta got some good sunset photos later at night. It was for most part very clear last night. I was walking on the deck and I seen this lightening storm, I tried to get video of it, but cloud cover was blocking it. I was able see it better the first time before I when back to get my phone. It would been cool looking, the sky was all black and you would seen flash of light in the distance.
