Bra stops bullet

Saturday, April 25th, 2009

A Detroit woman’s life may have been saved by her bra after it deflected a bullet.

Police say she was looking out of her window when one of three burglars raiding a neighbour’s home fired the shot.

The bullet smashed through her window pane before hitting the bra’s underwire – but it didn’t penetrate her skin.

The 57-year-old woman, who was not identified, was treated at a nearby hospital, reports Metro.

Detroit police Officer Leon Rahmaan said: “It did slow the bullet down. She sustained injuries but they’re not life threatening.”

Police believe she went to the window after hearing the burglar alarm at the house next door. The burglars drove off after the shooting

Cop’s Jedi way of life

Friday, April 24th, 2009

A Scottish police officer has confessed to following the Jedi faith beloved of Star Wars film fans.

Pam Fleming, a 45-year-old beat officer in Glasgow for Strathclyde Police, said that she thought all police officers “should be Jedis,” when interviewed by Jane’s Police Review.

“For me, it is not a joke,” she said. “Being a Jedi is a way of life. I love the Star Wars films and the concept of being a Jedi, that the faith is not divisive.”

Ms Fleming said she knew of other Jedis in Strathclyde Police – the force apparently has eight in total, according to a recent survey.

She told The Sun she uses Jedi mind tricks to get the truth out of suspects during interviews.

However, Ms Fleming said she does not use her powers to influence what suspects say or do.

“I have even started calling my probationer as a joke my Padawan (Jedi apprentice),” she said, “although I am not sure he likes that.”

According to Britain’s Office for National Statistics, a total of 390,000 people in England and Wales listed their religion as Jedi in the most recent census in 2001.

Who is really REAL?

Wednesday, April 22nd, 2009

I went to the mall today to get something to eat at this Japanese place. I use to eat there a lot when I was in Ohio. As i sat there eating and doing some of my homework (did not get much done), I started to watch the people that were walking around me. There is a very interesting bunch of people that are here. But who is really REAL? Must of the people here are mall employees most of them are dress up in nice cloths. Even though they are dress in nice cloths, what is wrong with them. Are they trying to be something they are not? There are two people that are siding to left of me that were waiting for a person to show up, after about 30 minutes the person showed up. This person in dress in blue pin strip shirt and some dark colored tie and dark colored pants. He does not have anything that would draw attraction to himself, he has looks like normal person.

On thing I never understood is, when females dress they dress to be notice. Wearing tight and revealing cloths. There was one young lady that was kind of running and she had this wife beater shirt on that showed her breast and she was not any older then 16 or 17 years old, maybe young. She keep her hands over her shirt so her breast would not come out because as she was running, she was jumping too.

I was in line at the other day at the groceries store and this attractive old lady was wearing low cut shirt that showed herself off and as she was taking things out of the cart she keep something over herself so nothing was shown. I was not even pay attention to her, but I took an move behind her, so she did not have to do that. why do they wear cloths like that and think people will look at them. Some people like and get off to it, but the other just do to be sexy looking so people look at them.

They people portend to be something they are not and they are not real! They are conforming to socially around them and that is tell them who and to act.

Breast milk cheese served at art show

Friday, April 17th, 2009

Cheese made with breast milk has been served at the launch of a new art exhibition in London.

Mexican artist Raul Ortega Ayala named the show “Alejandra Ortiz-Reynoso”, after the woman who donated the milk, the Daily Express reported.

The cheese is designed to “explore our first encounter with food, emphasising its territoriality and boundaries”, according to the artist.

A spokeswoman said: “He makes the cheese in the normal way – it’s just a standard process.

“The women donate the milk to him voluntarily.”

The cheese was served simply, with a more traditional accompaniment of crackers.

Ayala’s next work, “Obituary Menus”, will recreate the food which presidents, public figures, mass murderers and cavemen ate before they died.

More Wireless Security Test Answers

Monday, April 13th, 2009

I was taking my wireless security test today and found some more funny answer on the test.

  • What possible result could come from having a network hacked?
Files are taken and/or corrupted, inappropriate files are deposited, Trojans are left behind and cables are cut
  • How secure is WEP?
WEP stands for Women in Engineering Program. It has proven to be not very insecure, as their web site has been hacked repeatedly recently, much to their embarrassment, via their wireless network
